I rigged 4m Ezzy on the RRD WaveOne small (new board and peachy from the start, absolutely sweet in the air cos its light and tiny) and was perfectly stacked for the first half hour. Wave faces were in the boom to head height range, but it was a real challenge to find one that opened up for frontside riding. Sometimes the bigger swell out the back just disappeared under your feet by the time you got inside. Still there were rides to be had if you were persistent. Jumping was great, some very big powered punts, but soon noticed the hairline crack on the rail of the board opening up again, so got nervous. Switched to a 5m for the last twenty minutes to get a bit more power on the wave and it worked to a degree, but left me fighting the wind out the back!!
